Nearly finished the Dungeon of the Rat now - seen off the rat god, raided his treasure, dealt with the spider, haggled with Hobnail.
Just wanted to say this is an excellent adventure, greatly enjoyed by the party- highly atmospheric. One of the best dungeon based modules i have played in any system. Kudos to the writer.
Greatly looking forward to the Skolari Vaults now.

Hi all, After reading this thread, I'm eager to check out Dungeon of the Rat. Only problem is the original link is dead. Is it still available? Thanks, NeonPeon

Thanks, NeonPeon Neon, I don't know if it's on a website anywhere, but it's available from "that company": www.geocities.com/hobbit_lands/GMAdventures.htmlIt's in TUNNELS & TROLLS CAMPAIGN BOOK (GM Adventure), which is listed just before the second set of pictures on the page linked above.

It's also in Hobbit Hole #6 (which is only $8 if you wanted to save a bit of money).

i'm running this again with my four sons (ages 4 -10; basically 2 years apart). they are greatly enjoying it, as am i. they are obviously noobies (the older two less so), so this is a great intro mini-campaign with millet's as a base, and then soon moving on to nearby skolari. any chance we'll ever see levels 3 & 4 of the vaults? you out there somewhere, hogscape?

Well, he last logged in in late October. So he's been around fairly recently.
Branderwydd, have you checked whether he has his e-mail address listed in his profile?

i will have to follow up on contacting hogscape about level 3& 4, but i'm barely able to get anything accomplished online myself lately. i rarely make it here much anymore, and i can't even manage to keep my own yahoo group going.

Well, there's nothing quite like resurrecting an old thread... But, the reason I'm here is that I've been doing a bit of research of what pre-made GM adventure I should start my new group out in come this April when my T&T campaign will start with my friend's three sons (aged 13-9) as the principle players. Based on a fair amount of reading and comments, I've decided to go for The Dungeon of the Rat. It looks like a nice mix of old school gaming, humour, fun, challenge, and age-appropriateness. I ordered the dungeon just last night and will post here again after I've had a chance to read it and again after I've played it.
Cheers -

This is an excellent starting point for T&T.

I seem to remember the title, but don't remember the adventure at all. Please help an old withered mind, and tell me where it can be found.

It is also available on Lulu.com, which is where I bought my copy. I opted for the slightly more expensive pre-printed version in the hope that it will arrive in a binding suitable for the anticipated wear and tear of multiple readings and use during gaming sessions. It should arrive this coming week and I'm very much looking forward to reading it and reporting back on my impressions.

P.S. - I do respect the opinions of so many on here so it means a lot to me when zanshin and gaptooth affirmed my decision to go with this adventure as the starter for my new campaign. Thanks!
