I downloaded some of the Five-Minute Fortunes adventures from HT. They are brutal. Savage character death opportunities in every one.
Has anyone read some of the longer modules from HT? If they are all that tough I will have to give my party a boost to run them.

Most of them. Maximillians Mansion is a good early one; also the Tower in the Lake and the Tomb of Phabos are good low level ones. I down grade some of the magic items he gives out , but otherwise great stuff, very inventive.

I for one can say that Boozer's Adventures are, in general, BRUTAL. Try all the SR Stunts you can think of and get some Spellcasters in the mix....I loved each an every one though. I can always Wuss-out the opponents if I think the PCs have no chance(or NOT!!) same with Rewards.

Oh there is also a random undead themed one that i tinkered with a bit that is an ideal low level one , forget its name. Dungeon of the Rat and Skolari Vaults are both great low level dungeons. But not free.

I downloaded some of the Five-Minute Fortunes adventures from HT. They are brutal. Savage character death opportunities in every one. And? This is T & T, where sudden death does indeed lurk just around every corner! Your characters need to be on full alert every second of the day and night just to survive! No pandering to the weak here! 29th level SRs vs LK and CON just to survive eating breakfast! (The porridge here is *that* bad!) A little more seriously: Yes, Boozer's adventures can be lethal, especially if you just wade in with sword swinging. But they are generally survivable for those who think about what they are doing, with a modicum of luck. And they are well-written, and colourful, and generally of high quality. There will always be situations that can kill the characters instantly. Life is like that, and it's all too easy to fail a critical SR. The luck factor, and it's potential to go sour at the wrong moment, is crucial to keep the game from turning into a daisy-collecting expedition. So: no cake-walks, but lots of potential for hard-edged gaming!

I'll teach them yet. This ain't D&D MFs!!!! Actually, it kind of *is* D&D, as it was originally created. OD&D in particular often has a very high death rate. But I know what you mean. 'This ain't [what calls itself D&D today] MFs!!!!' Teach them! Guts and Glory, in equal measure! Lessons of Old-School Gaming #3: Life isCharacter sheets are cheap! ;D

No argument here...Brutal was a description, not a complaint! Just saying I tend to use them as Springboards for my own stuff rather than straight up(kinda like using Brandy in the "fixing" process when finishing a Port!). There's so much great material in one of Boozer's Specials that I can generate a half-dozen Hooks from his Throwaway encounters alone...I love his stuff.

I've interested in picking up Boozer's solos (based on the good things people have said about them) and I realize a lot of them are sold by "that guy"'s site.
Not all the solos listed credit an author, though. Does anyone know where one can get a comprehensive list of his solos that are offered at "that guy"'s?

I'm not 100% sure - he has a solo in most of the Hobbit Holes from No 6 onwards (and they are great buys anyway). He wrote Bedlam (an old hard to find solo i got off ebay), Ice Caverns of Isahil (a truncated version is in the 6th edition rules), The Haunting of Tilford Hollow and the Dungeon of the Demon Mage. If you check the solos he sells from his own site that might be an indication. Or you could email "that guy"

From memory, most of the adventures at the Tavern were written by Boozer. Any that weren't are labelled as such. So you could build up a list based on that, and compare it to what's available from "that company". If you want to avoid any more 'hobbit contagion' than is absolutely necessary...
