I've studied what solos I've informtion on, and haven't found many that allows a magic user.
Anyone care to point me in the direction of some?

Sorcerer Solitaire, When the Cats Away, Beyond the Silvered Pane, Deathtrap Equalizer Dungeon, Arena of Khazan all allow Wizards, amongst others. I ignore 'you may not play wizards' in scenario instructions but only cast spells like TTYF or Poor Baby , or Vorpal Blade if there is preparation time as i can easily adjudicate the outcome myself. Comes of a love of playing Warrior Wizards

Thanks! I'll take a look at those. I guess your way of allowing yourself some magic is good. I think I see how you can use the solos better now.

Also, Captif d’Yvoire allows magic users. Sorcerer Solitaire is loads of fun - it's a shame that the author didn't do more solos.

The solos which allow multiple characters and which have Magic Matrices can also be played with wizards...just make sure they have plenty of warriors around them to keep them safe!

My list of solos at www.igsgames.com/TunnelsAndTrolls lists the character requirements specified by the author. I count 25 solos that do not allow Wizards, and over 100 that do.

(Old man trying to kick a new thread back to life)
The one downside to so many new spells is that it's tougher to crank out a good magic matrix--one of the first, true advancements in the craft. Time to resurrect them? Maybe with a house rule that any player had a spell not in the basic canon or attached to the document (the author would have to work out the relevant rights and permissions) the player could temporarily exchange spells in the spell book? Perhaps 2 current to 1 new (to prevent abuse)?
Thoughts?

I was never a big fan of magic matrices myself - I dislike flipping back and forth, and the tough penalty if the spell fizzles (usually death...)
My preference now is for a preamble paragraph which defines the spells you can cast in play (using sensible self adjudication) and paragraph choices which give you spell options (e.g Oh There It Is or Omni Eye or Fly Me)
