Hi there. Well, Bedlam was written in the 80s, and submitted to Mike Stackpole. It was reviewed well for its simplicity, balance and fun, so it was scheduled for publication at some point within the new Corgi range. Alas, it was never used, as the range didn't do too well.
Then, a few years ago, I got back into T&T after a few years of bad luck. I decided to re-write the solo and asked Ken if it was OK if I could offer it to people from my web site. He said go for it, as he was keen to see as many T&T products out there. So with his permission I worked on the book, printed and bound it at home using nothing more than my home PC printer and a ring-binder.
OK, so it's not completely professional, but I have sold maybe 20-25 copies over the past few years, from strangers who have emailed me, to the Troll Elite, to people on eBay, and so far I have not had one single complaint. I make sure its nicely presented and printed so that people don't feel ripped-off.
I don't do it for the money, as I make hardly anything at all on each, maybe a quid or so here and there, but I get pleasure from knowing that other T&T fans are enjoying my work.
Same story with the other book I sell, 'Maximillian's Mansion'. That's excellent value for money. So much so that I actually make a loss selling it, so I'm trying to reduce the pages and cut the doucment down in size a bit. The new version will have original Simon Tranter art
I have sent both of the books to Ken and Rick, and I am open to offers if they want to publish them properly.
If anyone reading this has had a copy of these from me, I would welcome all comments, good, bad or indifferent, as to whether you felt you had got a good deal.
