This troll has heard that there is a good chance that Khayd'haik will be rejoining the flock. He said that his departure had nothing to do with anyone on the TrollBridge and he thought he would be back soon. (Vin crosses fingers and waits)

I hope so! The feeling i got is that people here at the 'bridge had nothing but the uttermost respect for Khayd'haik. Great ideas from someone with a great understanding of the game!

So we can assume that his departure caused the disappearance of his posts, rather than deliberate deletion? I must admit to being rather relieved, if that is the case.
Vin, it might be worth checking if there's a setting whereby you can retain posts from those whose accounts are deleted, so as to prevent future loss of some very useful information.

I was afraid to show my face on the 'bridge again after letting my emotions get the better of me and deleting all my posts during a spell of utter frustration with the T&T powers-that-be, becoming upset to such a degree that I felt at the time that all I wanted to do was disassociate myself from everything that was T&T. Unfortunately, the Trollbridge took a hit on that account. I would have deleted my Trollhalla account as well at the time if I'd still been an admin there.
I am still frustrated with certain personages in the T&T realm, but having calmed down, I realize that my deletion of my posts on the 'bridge did nothing but hurt innocent kindred spirits. I'm truly sorry for having taken that action, but what's done is done, and I don't have any backups. I won't be able to reproduce everything that I posted before, either.
So I'm a new member, basically. I'll try to behave myself this time, and not take out my frustrations with others on everyone in the community. I won't delete my posts again, no matter how upset I get with whomever.
Please forgive my transgressions, and I'll see you on and under the 'bridge...

Khayd'haik,
I saved a fairly broad selection of posts from the TrollBridge in late April. About 700K of plain text all up. I may not have everything that was written up to that point, but I have a fair amount.
If you like, I can trawl through it for stuff you wrote, and send it to you. You can decide if you want to restore any or all of it. Let me know.

Hey, Khaydhaik... I know this will be like opening a wound but how about sharing the incident that caused you to pull the plug?

Whatever happened before is done and is forgiven and we'd like to be back the way we were before the Great Purge. I suspect it would take a lot of work to re-post this stuff and I would be willing to help if at all possible. (Although re-posting would help Khayd'haik's post-count!) ;D

Please forgive my transgressions, and I'll see you on and under the 'bridge... khaydhaik As far as I'm concerned, there's nothing to forgive! You should see some of the things i posted on the WotC boards back in the day... It just happens sometimes. Especially when it involves something dear to us. In a nutshell...i'm just glad to have you back! You're an asset to this community, and a credit to this game!

I've sent a copy of my file to Khaydhaik, so anything of his that I saved is available to him now.

Thanks, everyone. I will be looking through the file mahrundl sent as I have time. I will be on vacation this coming week, so it won't be until after that. But I will eventually get some of my posts back on the 'bridge. I'll take the full responsibility for re-posting, and, yeah, it will help my post count, which I wouldn't mind getting back up to close to where it was before. It will just take time. So please bear with me.

Yeah, we all feel like grabbin some goblin or fairy and biting it's bleeding head off, from time to time. Seems to be the nature of being a Troll and Tunneler. Sometimes I think T&T has been stunted for all these years by blatant stupidity and self interest, but I suspect it's mostly twisted fate and bad rolls on the dice. Glad to see you back among the kicking. Personally I've got to the point where I do what I do and it's for me! If others enjoy or hate it, I don't GAS. That said T&T is close to all our hearts and we hate seeing things we like being mishandled. It's right to care!

Welcome back. Don't feel bad. I have just about written off every single "commercial" gaming company that operates today. It seems like the term "by gamers, for gamers" is dead and stinkin'. The modern gamming mission statement should be "by some guys that were once gamers but now just want to make money, for some gamers, but mostly for folks that play games and give the "some guys" whatever money they want, no matter how shoddy the product. " That is why I fully support websites like www.1km1kt.net
