If I put together a Mythic America setting I'd add a secret society of old-timey hobos. People of the road who new secret passages through the land, simple magic, forbidden history. Wielders of magic carved nickels enchanted in their other-planar refuge, the Big Rock Candy Mountain.
The baddies are the gray-suited Company Men. They have their own other-planar HQ, where the servants of the great Time Clock toil.

I love these! Just looking at them conjured a dark Swords and Sorcery setting. After some great fall, humanity huddles in the ruins of its former glory, with only the insane stepping beyond palisades or unmortared walls. I'd keep warriors and rogues, though the latter would have to find even their first spell among the ruins of fallen civilisations. Wizards would be created as clerics from TZ #12, though their abilities would come from alien entities and at a high price. Oh man! All I'd have to do is mangle a few names, decide on some stats and ... oh, oh yeah, find a group willing to play

BIGFOOT (MR 55)Still-living, yet unidentified, hominin type...or humanoid alien on earth! May be related to the Abominable Snowman of the Himalayas. Likes to be filmed from behind. Reports say he doesn't like bathing much (PEW!) (see episode from In Search Of...).

Awesome posters (in all senses) Just need someone to stat them up for Trollszine now There are stats for le loup-garou (Werevolf in French) in T6t 7.5, I belive, and I'm sure there are stats for a banshee (La Lollorana) somewhere?! I also think that I'w seen mr for the snallygaster. Was it in t&t 5.5?

Monsters!, the original edition.

First thought was, "All of the SoCal monsters are under contract with the studios..." Now there's a Monsters!/Monsters! sourcebook, make the SAG/Aftra vs. Actors Equity union battles or any teamster violence seem like a tea party. Who holds your contract, Khosht or Khazan?

First thought was, "All of the SoCal monsters are under contract with the studios..." Now, just pair this with MSPE and set it during the Golden Age of cinema, and you have the makings of a true film noir detective story possibly evolving into a cold war setting. The gorgeous dame in the detectives office, is she a troll, a harpy, a snollygoster, flying monkey? What's her story and how did she run afoul of the studio? For that matter, who is the detective: a gremlin, a mallardorian (my vote!), perhaps a minotaur? Did he know the dame in the past? Was he perhaps an extra in one of her movies years ago, maybe a lost love that she's now turning to for help? So, which monsters have aligned themselves with the Red Curtain? Did they know or are there studio executives secretly working with political figures in the hope of being on the right-side of power? And what's this talk about the Pinkertons supporting the Monsters as they attempt to unionize?
