Hi all, unsure of where else to post this so I thought in here as good a place as any and (mods) move it to wherever if required.
We're running a play by post game on the forum HERE and a player has had to drop out due to real life (which is completely understandable and always comes first).
Joining an already running game can be somewhat daunting so for anyone interested I'll put up a couple of options:
1) I'll generate a bunch of stats, you come up with a name, choose kindred/class and I will handle your dice rolls. You just describe actions, dialogue and I'll keep track of the crunch...
2) Sign up to the Rolz.org site and dive in heads first to roll for character, combat, magic, saves etc. There's a bit more work than option one but you roll the dice (and can't blame me when a naff roll screws things up!)
A basic run down of what happened so far...
On the Southern edge of the Dragon Continent the fast growing port town of Jepistra is ideally placed to service trade between Khazan, Sonan Ie and all points in between. A man called Rathmere, once a pirate now reformed, is an influential and important man through whom all trade and commerce seems to flow. The player characters had been signed on to act as hired muscle for a special trade envoy mission only for Rathmere to be struck down by an assassination attempt! A witch who resides in the town set a task for the PCs to seek out a cure for the rare poison used on Rathmere and return from the nearby jungle in time to save him.
They did so, despite being caught up in a war between the local lizardmen tribes. With Rathmere recovering despite a late attempt by another assassin (the 'enemy' - whoever they are, are using shape shifters) he's asked the PCs to revert to their original mission to catch the trade envoy and act as agents/hired muscle to ensure it goes smoothly because if it doesn't...
War might break out!
Now the Delvers are standing on one of the dock sides in Jepistra (the port town they started in) waiting for a Sonan Ie airship to take them up and away and after the trade delegation. Rathmere and his allies (including Captain Franick and Sergeant Klemitz of the Jepistra militia) know that someone is trying to sabotage the important trade talks and time is running out to prevent whomever is behind this from achieving their goal!
Who can the Delvers trust? Will they get to the Sonan Ie trade delegation in time to stop whatever insidious plot is in place to wreak havoc? Can Will Darness, intrepid warrior and ladies man, keep his hair clean and lustrous? Will Klarrrrchur Deathaxe, mighty Dwarven warrior and instigator of a great fairie war (that's another story) ever cheer up?
Will you join them and try to save the world, and with a little luck get rich in the process?

Characters generated using T&T deluxe rules so you might (if lucky) start off higher than 1st level.
We have some game rules in place, designed/tweaked to help smooth the play by post process which has certain limitations.
Post rate is usually daily but understandable if you can't make it that often - I will NPC mode characters where required to prevent them standing about like statues while you're AFK.
