Well dandelion, you tempted me into creating an account here too... Yet another place to spend time.

Mahrundl: "Argon" might very well have been sincere. As a former submissions editor to a short-lived literary magazine, I've seen a few embarrassingly bad but utterly sincere short stories. Poems, too. Nothing quite approaching "Argon", but some similarities were there. And thank you for the karma. Dekh: You're welcome! Don't worry; your time wasted will be time well spent. Just think of this board as yet another T&T resource. And for everyone: the third installment of A Band of Trolls: www.livejournal.com/users/hai_kah_uhk/626390.htmlAnd chapter 4: www.livejournal.com/users/hai_kah_uhk/626919.html

If you get stuck for names you could always just alter the first letter of a name and say they were relatives e.g. Baharaht, Caharaht, Daharaht etc..

Oh, but Naharaht is such a great name as it is. In fact I've already assigned it to a character. He just hasn't appeared yet. But he will, and he's at least as esteemed as Mahrundl. Maybe even more so.
I like the name so much that I've been pondering its possible usage in my comic book 'Knifeclaw Company'. But that's a fully original commercial product, and I'm not sure it's kosher to go around stealing other people's carefully invented names for my own profit. It just fits the already established naming conventions so well.

I see you have already mentioned me once in chapter three so i assume that I'll be met in the later chapters. I am just wondering how my namesake will turn out.

So am I. I haven't quite invented Middleclaw yet. All I've decided so far is that bridge trolls and mountain trolls have somewhat of a cultural divide between them. (Pun intended, of course.)

... he's at least as esteemed as Mahrundl. Maybe even more so. Not like that's hard... "Didn't I tell you I've got a club the size of a billygoat? No-one ever listens to me..." "Oh shut up, Mahrundl!" "See what I mean?" Mahrundl the Paranoid AndroidTroll (The amusing thing about this is that I actually do a very good Marvin impression.)

I really like the name Khayd'haik. But I was worried that it sounded too similar to my Livejournal username, Hai-Kah-Uhk. I just named a Knifeclaw Company character Hai-Kah-Uhk (mostly because people keep asking me why I chose that username, and now I can point out the comic book character by that name). However, the hermit troll idea really appeals to me. Hmmm. Hmmmmm. Yeah, I can work with that. And maybe nobody will think I'm being vain (again) and mutilating my own name for him. Of course, everyone here on Trollhalla will know. We all know the real Khayd'haik! Awww, I respect you, Mahrundl. Marvin impression and all. (Although a whining troll is a pretty scary thought.)

Shame there isn't a 'Live Chat' function on this forum. It would be good to chat to people when you see that they are on-line and viewing the board. Any way to add it in Vin
