Yeah, a T&T-exclusive fanzine would be really neat. In the early days, OD&D had Dragon and for a while T&T had Sorcerer's Apprentice and these kinds of things really help to keep people interested in the game.
I have nothing against Knockspell or Fight On!, and indeed endorse them heavily and enthusiastically, but their focus is more OD&D-like games and their clones. I just don't see T&T material as being that useful to OD&D players since the systems aren't really compatible.

Yeah, those are great and would give more T&T exposure. But, me personally and probably many others would want a zine that is exclusively T&T. I wouldn't even be bothering with those OD&D articles, so I would be wasting my money. We had Hobbit Hole for a while, and that was good. Something like that, with legitimacy, would be great.

The name "The Journeyman" keeps running around in me head, as pplay on the Original SA.

How about if the Apprentice graduates to Adept as in Sorcerer's Adept. Then you can use the initials SA and have a strong link between the old and new that is also thematic.

Well, it's not as if you couldn't translate stuff over from OD&D to a proper game (I keed, OD&D! I keed!) Still, it's a good point - though some OSR fanservice couldn't hurt in terms of readership. Fun (?) fact - if you go back and look at the old issues of The Dragon, there is NOTHING there for T&T. Nada. There is one small article along about issue 25 or so for Monsters! Monsters!, but other than that, bupkis. I assume this has more to do with Gary Gygax's antagonism towards KSA and T&T than whether or not anyone was playing it.

Yeah - nothing but derision - I can't remember the issue, but there's some unkind editorial comments from Gygax early on, and a review years later that just kinda paints T&T as being derivative and dumb. Jerks.

Anybody thought of section/feature/column titles (let alone subjects)? Say there's semi-regular articles focusing on weapons - what would be a good title for such a thing - to give it continuity? I've been trying to think of categories of material, and different titles to use for them... I just think it's good to have headings that can be used to keep continuity between issues... Not that everything HAS to fit into these categories... anyway... I don't want to muddy the title conversation, but here's some more mud to think about... Like what's a section for new Kindred called? "Meet yer kinfolk"? How about the monsters? "Slithy Toves & Cave Bears"? Magic treasures? BLING! BLING! (these are purposefully 'bad' examples I've given - just for demonstration purposes - if you like 'em, sorry )

Well, Codex Incantatem and Monstrum Codex are pretty spiffy names. Or if those are taken how about Fiend Factory? We could issue periodic collections as a Fiend Folio....

That's what I was saying earlier - there's a lot of OSR bloggers like James, as well as Jeff Rients (Jeff's Gameblog) and Dr. Rotwang! (I Waste The Buddha With My Crossbow) who're T&T-freindly, and we could do worse than reach out to them even if they're not the ravening T&T fanboys we are .

I like having Trollbridge as a title also, but I want to keep discussion on it open. As far as the Blog Outreach Program (BOP, cost: 6, range: internet), I think it'll be easily done, but might be better to do once we have something closer to being put together, more things available.
I blogged about it yesterday (compelled by the synchronicity of Grognardia's post and jongjungbu's post-holiday OK) and made a little announcementette at Trollhalla.
But as far as the no-holds-barred media blitz? I'm still trying to nail down wily contributors and such, get the word out to people who might be interested in helping out...
