Thanks! You ever read about the "Tunnel Rats"? Seemed fitting for the game in a weird way. You should look it up. It's interesting stuff. I remember my dad talking about it a lot when he was overseas in the 60s. No, what is that - it sounds intriguing!

"Tunnel Rat" was a term used during the Vietnam war...American soldiers in miles of tunnels during combat with the Viet Cong. It's pretty wild, some of the stories...the ingenious traps and things encountered...makes imaginative gaming look tame. There's some videos on youtube...

During the thirty-year war the combatants sometimes dug tunnels to be able to break into sieges, using petards to blow up walls and such. Sometimes it lead to fighting underground with the defenders digging their own tunnels. I think that we need more petards in T&t! www.wikiwand.com/en/articles/Petard

In fact, that's how I am interested in gunpowder use in my game...if I ever get it folded in. The mixture itself, and the variant weapons (such as the petard). Agree: We need more in T&T! I see the "alchemical" mixture of gunpowder to be the main focal point in the game (as opposed to just focusing on guns). I would care to guess, that in real life, there are scores of ingenious weaponry that we have no historical trace/record of today. One can imagine that the "gun" as a mechanical device would have been an eventuality in the long line of uses for gunpowder. The historical record, of course, gives us all sorts of siege weaponry, but one can employ fantasy and imagination to envision other possibilities for the game.
For instance: What about the use of powder mixed with magic? The obvious is the volatile nature of such a wild scheme! Ha. I can imagine some level 5 saves for that! TTYF with some sort of enemy "dusting" device!

The mixture itself, and the variant weapons (such as the petard). If it works against Gorn, it's good enough. ( Deleting in 10...9...8...)

If there was ever a game that needed a spell for regrowing fingers....

Just an update: I'm sorry I haven't been able to figure out (for the life of me) how to post my pdf. of the first part of the "Ratrock" adventure on my blog. No directions (I've tried 4 approaches at least) seem to work. It's coincided with heavy family drama, but I'll get it figured out...I'm still hard at work on it when I have time to spare...

Best of luck with it (and with whatever else is happening in real life).
I keep thinking about starting up a blog, but it always seems a little bit too time consuming and frustrating. I really ought to have a play sometime.

Yea, just tough sometimes to balance everything. At 57 years old, I have a lot on my plate. I seem to have blocks of time, then it'll dry up with family health concerns and such, but I always get back around to it. We'll see how it goes. It'd be cool if you start a blog, but I certainly don't blame you for not...it is a lot to keep up with. Mine will take time to develop, but I'm going to leave it up and keep working on it when I can.
