Hey, everyone. We probably need another gaming blog like the world needs a hole in the head, but I thought I would start one for T&T just for fun and for keeping a record of my solo/group play journey specifically using the 4th edition. I may not be posting this in the right place (sorry if its in the wrong spot!), but, if anyone is interested I could throw a link in here to check it out. I'm not too far into it yet, but I was thinking it might be some fun stuff to look at. I'm not exactly a wizard when it comes to this sort of thing, so it won't be anything too fancy, but I have posted some blank character card/sheets for download that I made myself, and a handy chart for finding MR/Adds/Dice at least so far.
Can I post that link here (I don't want to mess up the forum by putting something like that in here if it isn't allowed)?

I can't think of any reason why you shouldn't post a link to your new gaming blog. Posts such as that aren't a burden to the community. The posts with links that get removed with extreme prejudice are the drive by spammers. Then I generally apply a scorched earth policy. For what you propose, nah, nothing to be concerned about. Post it! Let the world rejoice in your creativity!

I've posted a quick comment on the blog, not sure if it takes a while to show or needs approval or whatever. Anyway good luck with the new venture Rat Salad

A couple of thoughts: - I agree with Prof, there's nothing wrong with announcing a T & T blog here. And even if there might be places better than General Discussion board to post it, General Discussion is certainly an entirely reasonable location.
- There is also nothing wrong with putting a link to the blog in your signature, and it makes it easier for people to visit.
- I've taken a look at the blog, and I think that you're off to a good start! If I may make one suggestion, breaking up particularly the longer posts into paragraphs will aid readability tremendously. (Assuming that the blog software allows that, of course.)

Thank you everyone for the supporting comments. I posted the comments now (moderating them so I don't end up with a bunch of bizzaro stuff on there. I've noticed on some other blogs people will spam it, or get on there and just be plain mean and spout politics and such...something I have no interest in. I'm interested in T&T and my blog will ONLY contain that subject). Houndle, thanks for the prodding on getting the colors changed. It was driving me nuts too, and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. As of this morning, I managed to figure it out finally, and I think it looks less jarring now. Mahrundi: The paragraph thing...yes. Struggling to figure that out, and I may have an idea of how to do that. That's driving me bananas as well...one long post. The software on this thing has changed for the must worse from the old days. Last time I did this (many years ago) there was more freedom without so many restrictions and it was easier to understand. I'll have to work on that. Thanks everyone for checking it out and following along!

(and not just because I want to add a news and noteworthy column to TrollsZine and a new blog is the kind of perfect 2-3 sentence item)

Thanks, Mosker! I figured out the paragraph thing too! I knew telling you guys about what I was doing would nudge me into figuring this thing out. The blog is already 10x better because of the suggestions. I just updated it and I've started to roll up this rough stable of rowdies to send into the first solo.
Any votes on what I should start this whole chain with? I thought about starting in order as they were published..."Buffalo Castle", then on to "Deathtrap Equalizer" etc., but maybe keeping them random would be better, or maybe someone knows of a better starting module?

Whatever you choose I'll be watching with interest! Buffalo Castle makes sense for starting characters, and the randomness of many encounters means that even if you know it well there is always some variation (and easy to plug in additional situations / creatures of your own devising)... if you're not committed to commercial published solos nialldubh has put some additional levels on this site which connect to the original Buffalo Castle (it's just a small alteration to add more exits to some of the original rooms as I recall). Some of those new rooms are tough!

Cool, thanks for the vote and the nialldubh extensions!..I was kinda leaning towards starting with the one that started them all as well...

Hey, does anyone know how I put the title of my blog over in my signature line, as Mahrundl suggests? I can't seem to figure it out.

Hey, does anyone know how I put the title of my blog over in my signature line, as Mahrundl suggests? I can't seem to figure it out. Click "Profile" link (at top) Click "Edit Profile" button (to the right) Click "Personal" tab Type away! (What? Typing? Not clicking?...Don't panic) Click "Save Personal Settings" Button (at bottom) Repeat until you're happy with where the info appears.

Cool, thanks for the vote and the nialldubh extensions!..I was kinda leaning towards starting with the one that started them all as well... I did a redo of Level I. It allows a difference but I enjoy the idea of (and attempted in the creation) to include the original Buffalo Castle to blend with the other Solo sections. BC: Varied levels:
